I'm RotNeverEnds or Millicent. A queer entity in Chicago in its late 20s that seeks to unleash some of its vivid imagination out into the world. I grew up when the internet was still novel and exciting and always wanted to have a website of my own. I actually did run a couple for a while when I was younger, off of Wordpress and WikiFoundry back when that used to exist. In more recent times though I've mostly been keeping to the same 5 social media sites, but now I've grown disillusioned to that and wish to reignite this old passion.
In my years messing around on small Wikifoundry communities and later in the most obscure depths of the Deep Reddit iceberg (subreddits with fucked up CSS and no more than 10 active posters at a time) I developed a passion for surreal writing and worldbuilding. Admittedly I'm too embarrassed to share most of my writing from that era here, but as it's more or less where I learned how to write, it does influence how I write to this very day. Lemony Snicket and Douglas Adams were also huge influences for me during that era. I have this sort of belief that the universe reproduces by creating life capable of imagining more universes, and that's exactly what I seek to do.
I am plural (median, possibly?) and there are 4 of us in this brain (discovered so far anyway). Claris, Red, and Liraura are the others. Claris helps me with some of my worldbuilding sometimes.
Why Rot?
I got really into Elden Ring around the same time that I was going through an immensely traumatic period of my life (I'll spare you the details). I became fixated on the Scarlet Rot of Caelid and likened my experience to being infested with the scarlet rot, to the point of considering it a xenogender of mine. It spreads and consumes everything you let it touch, rotting it from within and without, yet in doing so it makes way for new, alien but beautiful, life. Even my name Millicent is based on a character from the game who's associated with the rot.
It's far from my only esoteric xenogender. I'm collecting those bitches like infinity stones and I collect another one every time someone gets mad about it. Definitely one of my favorites though.
I hope you enjoy your time on this site, and remember, The Rot Consumes All
